OXFORD PRACTICE FOR SAT. APRIL 21 CANCELLED – LATE MODEL ONLY PRACTICE ADDED AT AIRBORNE SPEEDWAY SUN. APRIL 22ND
OXFORD, ME – Management at Maine's Oxford Plains Speedway has announced that Saturday's practice session (April 21) has been cancelled due to wet conditions at the track. Many ACT Tour competitors had hoped to take advantage of the extra time at the Maine oval to prepare for the following weekend's ACT Tour opener at the 3/8ths mile speedplant.
With the cancellation of Oxford's April 21 practice session, ACT management has arranged for a special, ACT Late Model only practice at New York's Airborne Speedway this Sunday (April 22). Pit gates will open at 12 noon, with the track open for testing and tuning from 1:00 until 5:00 pm.
Late Model teams along with Thunder Road's weekly competitors will be able to shake down their cars on Wednesday, April 25 at a regularly scheduled session at the high banked, ¼ mile oval in Barre, VT. The pit gates for Thunder Road's mid-week practice will open at 3:00 pm with the track available to all divisions from 4:00 until 7:00 pm.
A shake down session has been added for ACT Late Model drivers and weekly Oxford competitors from 12 noon until 6:00 pm on Friday, April 27. The practice will kick off the first race weekend of the season which includes Saturday's (April 28) New England Dodge Dealers 150 for the ACT Tour competitors. Post time is slated for 2:00 pm.
