(Hermon, Me) The PASS Outlaws, PASS Mods, and PASS Sportsman overtook the track for Memorial Day weekend at Speedway 95, with two regular track divisions taking the field, the Sport Fours, and Strictly Streets.
Tim Daggett of Alton started on the Pole for the Strictly Streets, and led for the first nine laps, before being passed on the inside by Steuben’s Rowland “JR Rockin’” Robinson. Robinson held the top spot until John McCullough of Glenburn spun in turn four, Jim Carr, Jr. of Clifton could not avoid a the collision and drew out the caution. On the restart, Robinson pulled out in front of the field again to take the win with Daggett holding off a charge from Brad Norris of Ellsworth to finish second, and Norris earning the third spot.
There were 3 cautions in the Sport-Four race, with two cars getting locked together at the green. Dixmont’s Lewis Batchelder led the field until Mike Hopkins of Hermon, and David Green of Hampden took the top three, three-wide. The move paid off for Hopkins, moving him up to the top spot and the win, with Green driving hard to overtake Batchelder in the closing lap to earn second. Batchelder finished the night in third. Dan Quilia, Sr. of Winterport was black flagged for rough riding in lap 6 due to Quilia running Rick Grant of LaGrange off the track in turn four.
