BARRE, VT – Hey kids!  Is your mom a race fan?  Does she have what it takes to be an official at
Barre, Vermont’s Thunder Road?  Do you want to give her the most awesome Mother’s Day present ever?

 Just answer this question: “What two jobs at Thunder Road would my mom be great at, and why?” and
YOUR mom could win the chance to be an official at the Casella Waste Management Mother’s Day 100 at Thunder Road
on Sunday, May 13!

               All you have to do is write an essay about why you think your mother would be great at her job as a Thunder Road official.  Ten lucky moms will be chosen to serve in the following honorary job positions: flagger, pace car driver, race director, announcer, pit steward, tech official, scorer, media personnel, back gate official, and handicapper.
           

    All entries should include the first and last name of the mother and a daytime phone number, as
well as the name and age of the child submitting the entry.  Entries must be received at the Thunder Road office no later than Wednesday, May 9th.  Track management will announce the names of the ten lucky moms on Thursday, May 10th.  The winning mothers will be treated to a prize package and the job experience of a lifetime!
