Super Late Model Tour Will Share Stage with Busch East Series

Various forms of Modified racing might be standard fare at short track around Connecticut, but race fans will be in for a special treat on Saturday, July 14th when two of the most prestigious stock car tours in the Northeast come to Thompson International Speedway for the “Full Fendered Frenzy” show.

Various forms of Modified racing might be standard fare at short track around Connecticut, but race fans will be in for a special treat on Saturday, July 14th when two of the most prestigious stock car tours in the Northeast come to Thompson International Speedway for the “Full Fendered Frenzy” show.

The Pro All Star Series (PASS) North Super Late Models will share the stage with the NASCAR Busch East Series to headline the event. It is the only time this season that PASS North will hold a race in the state of Connecticut.

The PASS North entry list promises to be a stout one. Well-known short trackers such as defending PASS North champion Johnny Clark, three-time champion Ben Rowe, Mike Rowe, Cassius Clark, Richie Dearborn, Travis Benjamin, Trevor Sanborn, Derek Ramstrom, Alan Tardiff, Bill Penfold and Curtis Gerry are all expected to file entries, along with several of the Thompson Pro Stock regulars.

“We always look forward to going to Thompson,” said PASS President Tom Mayberry. “Donald Hoenig has a great facility there and it is a real racy track too. We’re excited to see some of the top drivers in the New England going up against the Thompson regulars, who know the track very well. It should be a great event.”

Full Fendered Frenzy will take place on Saturday, July 14th at Thompson International Speedway (CT). Grandstands will open will open at 12:30pm. Race teams will practice until 4pm, qualifying is scheduled for 4:15pm followed by feature event racing.

The PASS. 75-lap main is scheduled to go green at about 7:30pm with the Busch East 100-lap, televised feature, slated for an 8:30pm start.
