Childs' family dominance continues with wins by Guy & David;
Soon-to-be dad Ryan Farrar wins first-ever Sport Truck feature

OXFORD, Maine – The Childs family's summer of excellence continued Wednesday night at Oxford Plains Speedway.

Guy Childs and nephew David Childs each captured a 30-lap Chimney Tech Outlaw feature in the Acceleration Series, bringing their extended family's total of Wednesday and Saturday night victories this season to 14.

David Childs recently clinched the four-race Agren Appliance Grand Slam championship in the Saturday night portion of the Acceleration schedule.
Jim Archer captured the middle Outlaw chapter, matching Guy Childs with his third victory of the season.
In the closest race of the night, one that rivaled the one-thousandth of a second difference in last Saturday's Late Model finale, Call of the Wild RV Center Sport Truck driver Ryan Farrar scored the first victory of his career.
Farrar admitted that he would be leaving the track as quickly as his truck could pass the post-race technical inspection, because his fiancee was already in their hospital and expecting to give birth Wednesday evening.
His manner of victory provided a thrilling backdrop to the big day in his life. Farrar stayed in rookie Opie Allard's tire tracks throughout the second half of the 30-lap event before making his move to the inside on the final circuit.
When the slower truck of Kevin Oliver impeded his path, Farrar drifted slightly up the track without lifting off the accelerator. Rick Hebert bolted to the inside and made it a three-wide sprint out of the final corner (lapped traffic not included).
Farrar hit the finish line roughly the thickness of his paint job in front of Hebert, while Allard somehow slipped all the way to fourth behind Marvin Hamilton in the final rundown. Point leader Jake Burns settled for fifth.
Driving the car that Guy Childs later took to victory lane, Christina Spaulding got the #00 off to a flying start with her first triumph of the season in Allen's Coffee Flavored Brandy Ladies action.
Jamie Heath scored his eighth straight win and 11th in 12 tries in the first-year Crazy Horse Racing Engines Renegade class.
OPS revs up again with a doubleheader weekend. The New Balance Summer Celebration includes five divisions of racing, a fireworks display and an on-track autograph session. Qualifying races begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Motor Mayhem, highlighted by Enduro Twin 100s, hits the track at 1 p.m. Sunday.
