Ricky Craven is teaming up with Wal-Marts in the Bangor region to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network. January 28 and 29, 2008 will mark the eleventh year that Wal-Mart has joined with Craven for a snowmobile ride to benefit area children.

This year?s event is going to be different! "Our vision of creating a fun winter event that could raise money for children became a solid successful reality over the past ten years. After a decade of touring the Moosehead area, we decided to transition to a two day trip from my favorite spot on Moosehead Lake into Canada and back," Craven shared.

Craven's desire to help children was sparked over a decade ago when Wal-Mart representative Don Emmons took him on a tour of Eastern Maine Medical Center's Pediatric Floor. "Ever since that afternoon I felt connected to CMN and all that it does to provide quality healthcare to the children of Maine. I also owe a great debt of gratitude to the hundreds of people who have helped with our ride over the years. Keeping this event going is a personal priority."

This ride will be limited to a small amount of riders this year, with the hopes of expanding it in years to come. Craven has always been adamant about making sure the event is about having fun and making memories while also raising money for our most important resource, our children.

Ricky Craven and Wal-Mart are a winning team in the past ten years this event has raised nearly a quarter of a million dollars for CMN!
