WATERBURY, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) stock car racing organization has rescinded its
previously announced partnership with RT Raceparts of Hudson, NH for the 2008 season, effective immediately.

As such, a notice has been sent to the ACT membership, including competitors with the ACT Late Model Tour, the Série ACT Castrol, and at Barre, VT’s Thunder Road International Speedbowl, that will no longer mandate the use of Torco Racing Fuels – previously available for use exclusively from RT Raceparts – during ACT-sanctioned race events.

ACT President Tom Curley said that while Torco fuel is no longer mandatory, its use is neither prohibited nor discouraged.

“Torco is a good fuel, and in fact, testing has shown that the 104-octane blend may actually benefit the engines in our crate engine program,” he said.

The ACT Late Model Tour begins its season with the New Hampshire Governor’s Cup event at Lee USA Speedway on Sun., April 20.  Thunder Road’s season opens with the 10th Annual Merchants Bank 150 on Sun., May 4, while the Série ACT Castrol season begins at Autodrome St-Eustache near Montréal on Sun., May 18.  For more information, call (802) 244-6963 or visit www.acttour.com or www.thunderroadspeedbowl.com.
