Wiscasset Raceway management announced this week that the track has been chosen as one of only 45 oval tracks in the nation to have the prestigious Contingency Connection national program for their racers in 2008!  According to track owner / promoter Doug White, "Over 100 tracks applied to participate in the program but the Center of Speed was chosen because of the importance we place on our weekly racing program." National manufacturers such as Moroso, JE Pistons, Auto Meter, MSD, Comp Cams, Mr. Gasket, Hedman Hedders, Richmond Gear, TCI, ACCEL, Lincoln Electric, Taylor Vertex, melling, Zoom, RJS Safety Equipment and many, many more will be posting awards for Wiscasset Raceway racers as part of the program.

The posted contingency awards will be distributed to all six regular weekly divisions in the form of $25 product certificates or $25 product packages. Drivers wishing to participate in the Contingency Connection program at Wiscasset Raceway need to visit the promotional trailer at the track to pick up the neccessary decals of participating manufacturers. Winning racers receive their awards directly from the manufacturers typically within 30 days of their race win. White made the announcement on the partnership Tuesday evening during the track's weekly radio broadcast from Hafford Saloon in Waterville. "Center of Speed racers can win more money more often at our track than any other track in this region!"  New Waterford Speedbowl in Connecticut was the only other New England track chosen.
