Scarborough, Maine- Corey Bubar in just his first full season of competition at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway took his first career checkered flag on Saturday night in the 35 lap main event.  Bubar took the lead at the drop of the green flag and stayed there until a lap 6 caution flag slowed the field.

When racing resumed it was youth on display as Bubar and Bobby Nadeau put on a side by side race that any veteran driver should have taken notice in.  For 22 laps Bubar and Nadeau stayed side by side with each driver taking the lead on several different occasions.

Finally Bubar was able to pull to the front on lap 28 taking the victory over Nadeau in second place.  Current point leader Sally Gherardi was third with Nate Leavitt and Scott Dorr fourth and fifth at the finish.

Bobby Babb padded his Pro Series division point lead with another feature win on Saturday night.  Steven Jones and Chris Smith shared the early lead until lap 9 when the 2 drivers made contact with each other sending Aaron Ricker into the lead.

Ricker opened up some distance over the field until Dan McKeage took aim at his lead position unsuccessfully following a lap 20 restart but Babb was in position to pounce on the young driver.   Babb went to the outside groove and took the lead from Ricker on lap 30 and led the final 10 laps for the win.

Ricker finished a solid second place with Bub Bilodeau third.  Steve Carrier and David Oliver rounded out the fourth and fifth place finishers.

Gary Babineau won the 30 lap Wildcat feature race despite the race being slowed by 5 caution periods.  Steve Benincasa led early until Richard Randall took over on lap 12.  Babineau made his move to the front on lap 17 following a restart and despite 3 more cautions Babineau endured to take the win.

Lyman McKeage finished second with Randall finishing in the third position.  David Wildes is leading the points chase and place a fine fourth with Paul Lund recovering from an early incident to finish fifth.

Ed Pierce made a last lap pass to take the 20 lap Road Runner feature race.  Mark Sylvain appeared to be headed to the win until the leaders caught slower traffic on the white flag lap.  Sylvain hesitated and then went low as pierce went to the high side and took the lead and the win.  Sylvain was second with Dan Bernier third.  David Turner and Mark Hill were fourth and fifth at the finish.
