Lee, NH. (July 13, 2008) – –    The Mac Tools sponsored Small Block Supermodifieds will be in the spotlight Friday night, July 18th, as the winged warriors of Lee USA Speedway will battle in the 40 lap “Summer Shootout.”  The extra distance race will find the area’s top open wheel drivers entered in the event. Defending champion Eddie Witkum. Jr, Merrimack, NH, will be looking to add to his already successful season driving the Delphi Construction Callahan Motorsports racer. Second generation driver Mike Ordway.Jr. of Fremont, NH, is expected in the Dave Bouchard owned # 11 as is Dan Bowes, Georgetown, MA in his family owned and prepared racer. 
 

Raymond, NH, hot shoe Jeffrey Locke, coming off a last lap win last Friday, is another strong driver considered a favorite in the “Shootout.” Veteran Jim Lowery Jr, Tilton, NH, has run strong lately and is an expected entry.  New Gloucester, ME, driver Ben Tinker will be on hand as will Dan Lane, Gloucester, MA, Rookies Bob Millett Jr, Groveland, MA, and Butch Valley Jr, Hollis, NH are expected.
 
In addition to the supermodified special, the Bot-l-Gas/ R F Logic Triple Crown Series for Pro-4 Modifieds will be competing with Norm Wrenn, Rob Richardi, Jeff Zuidema, and Cory Cleary expected. 
 
The weekly NASCAR Whelen All-American Series will be in action with top drivers like JR Baril, Miles Chipman, Larry Gelinas, Tom Fuller, and Wayne Helliwell in the Late Models, while Grant Aither, Tony Kawejsza, Bobby Melvin, Jimmy Renfrew, and Pete Evans headline the Late Model Sportman division.
 
The unpredictable Hobby Stocks will find A.J. Panessiti, James Russell, Wade Worster, Alby Ovitt, Todd Bregy, and Bobby Glass leading a long list of entries. Always a crowd favorite, the “hobbies” keep fans on the edge of their seats.
 
Craig Bartlett, Rick Fountain, Shane Horvath, and Kevin Emery are expected entries in the upstart Ironman division while the Roadrunner division will compete in a qualifying race for the 4 cylinder “Nationals” coming up at the Beech Ridge Speedway, Scarboro, Maine on July 27, 2008.
