CHARLOTTE, NC (September 22) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) President Tom Mayberry announced today that RC2 Race City Race Cars will be the presenting sponsor of the pole award for the four remaining races of the 2008 PASS South Super Late Model season. PASS South Super Late Model qualifying will now be known as RC2 Pole Award Qualifying. The fast qualifier at each of the last four events will receive $100 as long as they have an RC2 contingency sticker on their race car. The RC2 Pole Award will go to the fast qualifier regardless of where he lines up following PASS South’s traditional redraw for the top 10 qualifiers.
“We’re really glad to have a sponsor like RC2 Race City Race Cars step up and give something back to our drivers who go fast in qualifying,” said Mayberry. “RC2 is a brand new company and it means a lot to us for Jack [Dudkiewicz] and David [Null] to believe in the PASS South Super Late Models and want to be a part of what we’re doing.”
RC2 Race City Race Cars is owned by Jack Dudkiewicz and David Null and is located in Mooresville, NC. RC2 Race City Race Cars is a race car service company that specializes in fabrication, chassis repair, setups, and maintenance, building pit boxes and tire carts and hanging bodies. RC2 also specializes in roll centers, bump steer, squaring, and soft spring and shock technology. RC2 hopes to return as sponsor of the pole award in 2009 and is trying to put together a house car to race full time with PASS South next season.
“The PASS South series is something we really wanted to be a part of when we started RC2 because Super Late Models are cool and what we like to work on,” said Jack Dudkiewicz, co-owner of RC2 Race City Race Cars. “Becoming the sponsor of the RC2 Pole Award is exactly what we wanted to do because we want to make cars go fast. In our business, we want to be able to help that guy out whose running 8th or 12th and make him a top five car or better. This is a perfect fit between RC2 and PASS South.”
