Waterbury, VT – Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl has announced that there will be no increase in front gate admissions for the coming regular race season. Darla Hartt, General Manager of Thunder Road, said “ We celebrate the 50th anniversary at T-Road this coming season, and with the present economic climate, we want to continue to make Thunder Road affordable, family fun. What better way to thank our loyal fans for all the years they have supported the “Nation’s Site of Excitement” than to keep our prices level-funded during these difficult times. We have many special events planned and we are very excited about what we are going to be offering our fans for the 50th anniversary celebration”.
Thunder Road has a long short track history of trying to keep ticket prices affordable for fans and families. Season passes have also been level-funded for the 2009 race season, and are now on sale at the Thunder Road offices.
The 11th annual Merchants Bank 150 will open the season on May 3, 2009 with the American Canadian Tour stars. Thunder Road will next celebrate Memorial Day weekend with a doubleheader weekend on May 24th. Once again this year the holiday weekend will feature the American Canadian Tour, along with the powerful open wheel True Value Modifieds, in twin 100 lap events.
Thunder Road’s traditional weekly races will begin on June 11, 2009
