The first ever race of the North East Mini Stock Tour is this Sunday at Speedway 95. Hopefully we can make this weekend a great jump to the 2009 racing season.
Pit gates will open around 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. and the NEMST cars should get 3 practice sessions. With racing starting at 2 p.m. If the weather shows its face on Sunday than the race will be held on 5/24/09 at 2 p.m.
Tires for sale are going to be very limited as Hoosier was almost out of the 790 Tour tires when I went down to buy more today.
Local drivers should also remember that they do not need to pay the tour registration to run in the race, but will receive a sharply reduced payout.
The weekly Speedway 95 American Racer tires are legal to run in the tour event as well as the 215/60d13 American DOT, DOT Street tires, and of course the NEMST Hoosier 790 tires in the 13 or 14 inch size.
