NAPLES ME ( May 20) The Pro All Stars (PASS) super late models make their first granite state stop of 2009 at White Mountain Motorsports Park when the immaculate North Woodstock NH quarter mile kicks off its 2009 racing season Saturday May 23 with the PASS 150.
White Mountain has hosted the PASS Super Late Models every season since Tom Mayberry created the series in 2001. The fastest short track racers in the east click of 12.5 second laps on the tight White Mountain oval, and the racing is fast and furious.
Johnny Clark has taken over the point lead after his second win of the season at Unity Raceway. The defending series champion is off to a strong start but there’s a pack of drivers right behind him that will look to turn their seasons around at White Mountain.
Ben Rowe has a pair of wins and a pair of second place runs on the PASS South circuit, but he’s failed to crack the top five in the first three PASS North events. Rowe has multiple wins at White Mountain and he’ll look to change that statistic this Saturday. Richie Dearborn’s won at the Mountain, and he’s looking forward to getting a 2009 checker under his belt, while DJ Shaw has a WMMP late model championship under his belt along with a PASS win last fall. Chris Staples and Scott Chubbuck are chasing Johnny Clark in the point standings, and you have to look at the pair as contenders. Adam Bates, Derek Ramstrom, Kelly Moore; as always the list of contenders for the White Mountain PASS win is long and deep with talent.
White Mountain will have a pit area filled with shiny new race cars as their weekly racing divisions get their season underway. It’s an action-packed show with an early start time of 4:00 PM sharp.
