Unity, Maine – Stock car racing action scheduled for Friday night (June 12) at Unity Raceway was postponed due to continuing heavy rain and wet grounds.
Sunday’s event features a demolition derby and several novelty races, along with an automotive ramp jump contest. Several drivers are expected to attempt breaking track promoter George Fernald’s 104’3” record jump.
Among the novelty races will be a ramp race, backward race, chain race, bag race, hot dog race and possibly other fun contests.
Next Friday night, June 19, Unity Raceway hosts Wrestling & Racing, with NWA wrestlers performing at 7:00 p.m., followed by feature races for all weekly Unity Raceway racing divisions.
