Naples ME (July 8 2009) Warner New Hampshire’s Adam Bates leads a star studded field of Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North super late model racers to Thompson International Speedway this Saturday July 11th, but the latest PASS race winner and point leader will have his hands (and mirrors!) full as the fastest full fender race cars in the east tackle the fastest short track in the Northeast.

Bates is atop the topsy turvy PASS North point standings that seem to change weekly as the series heads into the second half of the 2009 season.  Two races in four days await the touring pros this week, and the Thompson Full Fender Frenzy will kick off a frenzy of activity for all of the race teams contending for the championship.

One driver looking to make his move in the standings will be Derek Ramstron, who cut his racing teeth on the asphalt of Thompson International Speedway.  He’s visited victory lane on numerous occasions in a Thompson super late model, and come oh so close to winning in PASS competition. He currently trails Bates, Johnny Clark and Ben Rowe in the standings but the Worcester Massachusetts speedster may be ready to make his move at the team’s home track. Ramstrom trails Bates by forty one points in the title chase but he has high hopes of narrowing that margin this week.

Kelly Moore, Ben Rowe, Johnny Clark, Cassius Clark, Chris Staples, Travis Benjamin, Richie Dearborn and DJ Shaw are but a few of the talents that will take on the high banks, and with lap times in the mid nineteen second d range they will be the fast guys on Saturday’s card. The Camping World East Series, Thompson’s own Late Models, Limited Sportsman, Minis and the Thompson modifieds complete Saturday evening’s six division schedule.

The pit area opens at 10:30 AM, grandstands at 12:30 and the PASS qualifying races are set to take the green at 4:15 PM.The 75-lap PASS feature feature is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
