AUSTIN, WHAT DOES THIS FINISH MEAN TO YOU?
I’m really excited about it. It’s pretty encouraging to go out and get my first top-10 finish in an ACT race. When I said earlier this week that I thought we could go out and finish in the top-10, I didn’t really look at it as a serious thing — more something that I wanted to be able to do.
To go out and finish that well, like I said, it’s pretty encouraging.
DESCRIBE YOUR RACE DAY.
We were kind of struggling in practice and the heat race, but we made one final change to the car before the feature, and the car just came to life. It made a big difference. It was just a whole lot better.
The car was good immediately after restarts, and it was good on long runs, too. We picked up a lot of spots on those longer runs. Everybody worked really hard and it feels pretty good right now.
