LEE, NH – The Ollie Silva Memorial 75 for the International Super Modified
Association has been the most popular event held annually at the Lee USA
Speedway, and the 2010 edition of the race, presented by E.F. Shea of New
England Concrete Products, should be no different this Friday, August 13th.

Silva, who died in 2004 was a multi-time winner of Star Speedway’s
International Classic. He also won championships in a Modified, and was a
four-time U.S. Winter Nationals Champion. Silva also drove for noted car
owners Vic Miller and Clyde Booth, and is remembered for lapping the entire
field twice in a 1974 All-Star race at the Waterford Speedbowl.

In all, Silva won an estimated 500 features in twelve states during his
racing career. An Ollie Silva Museum will be on display at Lee on Friday. It
will include a special collection of memorabilia, created by Wes Pettengill,
Rick Eastman and the Silva family. It will be on display in the midway, with
some items never shown publicly before.

The original number zero Super Modified will also be on display, along with
other Super Modified cars from the past as well.

The 2010 version of this event promises to be more competitive than ever,
with Chris Perley, Russ Wood, Mike Ordway Sr., and Rob Summers among the
contenders. In 2009, Mark Sammut shocked New England race fans as he drove
by both local favorites Perley and Wood in the waning laps to claim the
victory.

All of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly divisions will be in
competition as well on Friday, with a features-only format for most
divisions to allow time for the many activities planned on this special
night.

Bentley Warren will once again be a part of the event, with his Charity
benefit Bike Run making a stop at New Hampshire’s Center of Speed. The race
winner will also become a guaranteed starter for the Race against Cancer
ISMA event at Seekonk (Ma.) Speedway in October.

The Late Model and Small Block Super Modified heat races will take place at
6:00 PM, with the ISMA heat races slated for 6:45 PM. However, Track manager
Bob Watson indicated that the ISMA heat races will be pushed back in the
program if there is a line of late arrivals at the ticket window, as was the
case in 2009.

This Friday night, August 13th, the ISMA Super Modifieds return to Lee for
what is annually the most popular event at the NASCAR Sanctioned track.  For
