WHAT THEY’RE SAYING

BRENT DRAGON, Driver of the No. 55 Beverage Mart/Furniture World of VT/Charlesbois Freightliner Chevrolet, On running his own Late Model in the Spring Green 111: “We tested our own car a week ago, and it went well. We’re going to a place where we have been before. We went there once last year, so I’m pretty excited about it.”

On what he thinks about racing at Devil’s Bowl Speedway: “Quite a few (ACT competitors) have been there and tested this year. Guys that run out front have been there. It will be another good race.
“The track is nice. You can run side by side, and there is some passing. When we were there last year the asphalt was new and there was a lot of grip. I think some of that will be gone, so the racing should be better.”

On his preference for fast, flat tracks: “That’s what I grew up on (at Airborne). You use a lot of brake at them. A lot of guys grew up not using so much brake, so it’s usually a better race for us.”

UP NEXT
The ACT Late Model Tour heads to Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, for the rescheduled The Big Jab 150 on Saturday, June 4… Brent Dragon will aim to improve on his career best finish of second at Oxford Plains Speedway, the track where he won the pole for the TD Bank 250 in 2009.
