BRENT, SUM UP YOUR DAY.
It was a long day. I think we had a fairly decent car. We lost power steering around lap 20. It’s hard to steer at (Thunder Road) with the high banks. I guess we salvaged a pretty decent day out of it.
We’ll just have to go on to the next race.
IT’S THE SECOND RACE YOU’VE HAD THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM.
They thought they found it in the steering shaft. It’s got something to do with the pump or steering rack itself. When we get up there enough, we’re going to be pretty good.
ARE YOU FRUSTRATED WHEN A MECHANICAL ISSUE LIKE THIS HAPPENS?
No, it is what it is. I’ve been running too long, 20 years of this, so I’ve seen it many times. It’s something that can be fixed.
The car’s good really good. We’ll get it.
