The season opener was at Beech Ridge this weekend. We went down to practice on Friday and due to the pits being very wet all super late models were parked on the infield. First practice we found oil leak, second practice we found some problems with the transmission.

After we got all of the issues resolved, there was one more practice and Richie said the car was not bad. Things could change for Saturday because they were going to put the goop down. Saturday morning we had to unload on the infield again. First practice the car was a little bit free. We had a battle with the new Hoosier tires all weekend. Richie started 10th in the second heat, and with some patience he was able to finish 7th and snag a qualifying spot.

We started 20th and the car was not very good. During the first caution Richie hit the pits for some much needed adjustments. The car seemed to be better, but Richie had a lot of work to do. During a long green flag run Richie got lapped by the leader, but was able to keep himself in a position and earned the lucky dog with about 30 laps to go. Richie was working his way towards the front, but just ran out of laps. We finished 11th. Good job Richie & crew.
