Beech Ridge Motor Speedway release

Scarborough Maine- Drizzle and heavy fog cut short the opening night of the NASCAR Whelan All American Series at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on Saturday night. The Road Runner and Wildcat feature races were able to be completed and the Pro Series and Sport Series features will open up the show this coming Saturday night starting at 6:30.

The Road Runner division took to the track for a 20 lap battle and Dave Cameron found victory lane at the conclusion. Shawn Brackett led the opening lap before Cameron took over on lap 2. Cameron stayed in front despite a lap 18 caution flag to take the win. Brackett was second with Ryan Phillips third. Ray Letellier and Taylor Lampron were fourth and fifth.

The Wildcat feature race went start to finish with no interruptions and Dan Bean dominated for the win. Bean bolted from the outside pole and was never challenged as he cruised the 30 lap distance for the win. Brian Caswell held off Randy Snow in a great battle for second place. Snow was third followed by Lewis Anderson and Steve Benincasa.

This Saturday night it will be double features for the top 2 divisions as the Pro Series and Sport Series will kick off the show with make up races before settling into the regular scheduled NASCAR Whelan All American Series show for the night. It all starts at 6:30 on Saturday night.
