Joey Polewarczyk Jr. Comes away with a 6th place finish at Thunder Road.

Barre, VT – American-Canadian Tour Late Model Driver, #97 Joey Polewarczyk Jr finishes in 6th place in the 49th Annual Memorial Day Classic at the “Nations site of excitement,” Thunder Road
Speedbowl.

Polewarczyk narrowly missed qualifying through his heat race and started on the pole for his Consolation race. He ended up taking the checkered flag in the event, which ensure a starting spot in the 27-car field.

Starting 19th in the main event, Joey had his work cut out for him. Polewarczyk Jr was slowly moving toward the front of the field, by lap 50 of the 100-Lap event; Joey was solidly in the Top-10.

As the leaders were weaving their way through lap traffic, The Poles Automotive, NH Precision Ford Fusion was mired in the middle of several slower cars, this used up valuable time. Polewarczyk said, “We definitely had a winning car today, I broke free of the lapped cars too late to catch the Top-5.”

Polewarczyk Jr was the big mover in the day, climbing thirteen spots (19th to 6th)

Joey went on to say “This felt great today to know we had a winning car and I can’t wait until the ACT race at Oxford Plains Speedway this Weekend.”
