Barre, VT – American-Canadian Tour Late Model Driver, #97 Joey Polewarczyk Jr of Hudson, N.H. will be racing his Poles Automotive, NH Precision, Hedman Hedders Ford Fusion at Thunder Road Speedbowl, Sunday, May 29 in the non-ACT Points counting; 49th Annual Thunder Road Speedbowl Memorial Day Classic.
This marks a return trip to the event for Polewarczyk Jr, who led 81 of 100 laps in 2009. They did not compete in the 2010 event.
“We are heading up to Thunder Road this Weekend because we should of won the event in 2009, but I made a mistake on the track and took us out of contention.” Polewarczyk says. “We have also been running really well up to Thunder Road as of late and we would like to work on a few things”
Joey has been better than just good at Thunder Road recently. Polewarczyk finished second in the Merchants Bank 150 on May 1 and before that; won the prestigious Vermont Milk Bowl last fall.
