Naples ME (5/10) The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North super late models begin a two week run of bull ring racing on Saturday May 14 when the the series returns to the Weber family’s Star Speedway/ for 150 green flag laps. The racing is fast and close at the Epping New Hampshire oval, and the venerable quarter mile will deliver an exciting, action packed feature from green to checkers.
The PASS win list at Star is filled with familiar names. 2001 series champ Sam Sessions was a winner when the PASS teams first visited Star in 2002. Johnny Clark and Mike Rowe each have Star wins, and Ben Rowe tops the list with two. Derek Ramstrom earned his first PASS super late model victory at Star when the touring teams made their most recent appearance in 2009.
It’s the Pro All Stars Series only appearance at Star in 2011 as well as opening day at the Route 27 oval.
Joining the PASS North super late models on Saturday’s early evening card are the speedway/s own modified division ,road runners, rookies and the Texas Roadhouse North East Mini Stock Tour.
The pit area opens at 10:00 AM on Saturday with practice slated from 12:30 until 3:30 PM. The first heat race rolls out at 4:00 PM and the PASS Star 150 is scheduled to lead off the night’s feature racing at 6:06 PM.
