Canaan, NH. — Their season started seven weeks ago. Only two races have been contested, the last almost a month ago. The drivers, race teams and officials of the Valenti Modified Racing Series are eager to get back to work and resume the 2011 season and that they will, Saturday night, May 28, at Twin State Speedway, Claremont, NH.
A strong field of competitors is expected to enter the Memorial Day weekend program at the famed New Hampshire speedway.
Leading the list of expected entries is defending champion Jon McKennedy, of E, Chelmsford, (MA), former series champions, Dwight Jarvis, Ascutney, (VT), Chris Pasteryak, Lisbon, (CT), all-time winner and three-time series champion, Kirk Alexander, W. Swanzey, (NH), and recent Monadnock Speedway winner Les
Hinckley, Windsor Locks (CT).
Additionally, drivers from all over the northeast are expected. Many with roots at the Twin State track including Claremont’s Sean Bodreau, Canaan’s Jack Bateman, Charlestown’s Mark McClay, Swanzey’s
Rob Goodenough, and Ascutney, Vermont’s Joey Jarvis. Jarvis will be making his first start of the season.
Connecticut invaders expected include rookie Tim Jordan, Plainfield, Mike Holdridge, of Madison, Eddy Spiers, Beacon Falls, Ken Barry and Max Zachem, of Preston.
Rowan Pennink, Huntingdon Valley, (PA) Norman Wrenn, Nashua, (NH), Stephen Masse, Bellingham, (MA), and Jacon Dore, Sanford, (ME) are also expected Previous winners at Twin State include Matt Hirschman in 2008, McKennedy and Dore in 2009, and McKennedy again last season. .
