Joey Polewarczyk Jr. ACT Series-Oxford Plains Speedway Race Preview
Oxford, ME. – ACT Late Model Series Driver #97 Joey Polewarczyk Jr of Hudson N.H. readies himself to return to one of his favorite tracks that the American-Canadian Tour visits each year, Oxford Plains Speedway.
Joey and crew started 2011 with winning the Inaugural Goodyear Speedweeks Cup in Florida and then it’s been up and down since then.
Polewarczyk goes on to explain. “Last year at about this time, we got the team, me and the car heading in the right direction with a win at Beech Ridge Speedway. That win propelled us to our victories at NHMS and in the Milk Bowl. Right now, we feel like we are ready to break through and consistently compete for wins.”
The ACT Tour recently visited Oxford Plains Speedway for its first of two ACT sanctioned races back on June 4, with Joey coming home in the fourth position. Many drivers will be using this June 25 race as a “Tune-up” for the prestigious TD Bank 250, held at Oxford toward the end of July and Polewarczyk is no different.
“We are traveling to Oxford with an entirely new front suspension set-up on our Poles Automotive, NH Precision Ford Fusion and I am very excited to see how the car will react.” Joey goes on to say, “We have a great finishing average at Oxford. We are not looking to jeopardize that, we’re just trying some things out that I have wanted to for a while”
Polewarczyk reflects on the June 18 race at White Mountain Motorsports Park. “Honestly, I feel I had the best driving car, I have ever had at WMMP and I feel like, we let another one slip away. We sit tenth in points and that does not reflect what kind of team we are. A great finish at Oxford will go a long way to getting our team back to where it belongs”
