PASS RacingOn Thursday night the Benjamin Motorsports team was back in action for the 100 lap feature at Thompson International Speedway in Thompson Connecticut and after qualifying in 5th the team thought they had a good car for the main event. The 17 car ran in the top 5 all night long and with 10 to go Travis was getting ready to try to make a run for the victory but came up a little short and finished 3rd.

“We had a great car tonight everyone worked hard I think we were just down a little bit on horsepower since this engine hasn’t been re freshened in 3 years but we will take a top 3.”

The team was back at the track again on Friday but this time in Oxford Maine. After a practice on Friday the 17 car was ready to make another run for a top 3 finish. On Saturday the car felt really good but didn’t have a lot of speed. After qualifying 15th the Benjamin Motorsports team made some changes to try to make the car better. The 17 car was in the 12th position on the last corner and two car made contact and Travis had to go to the outside to avoid the wreck and lost 5 spots in that corner.

“After Thompson the other night the car had a little damage so we had to go get the other car. This car just hasn’t had the speed that other car has so it kind of put us behind the 8 ball.” The team will head to Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk Massachusetts on August 6th next.
