JOEY, WHAT HAPPENED?
“The trailing arm broke. It’s happened before, but not to us. It’s happened to other people before, but I don’t really understand how to fix it or to make it not happen.”
“It’s probably the best car we’ve ever had here. I was just biding my time for the first 100 or so laps. I kind of started to feel the car get freer and freer on corner exit. Finally, we were going into Turn 3 on lap, the thing almost spun itself out and went into the wall.”
SO THE ONLY INDICATION WAS THAT THE CAR WAS GETTING LOOSE?
“Yeah. I figured I had a tire going down. But then when that broke, I knew immediately why it was getting free.”
