(Lee, NH) – #97 Joey Polewarczyk Jr went into Tuesday’s Pro All-Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model race on a high note from his remarkable recovery in a Late Model race, he raced just days earlier. That race saw Polewarczyk start in 26th place and come home with a Top 5.

Fast forward three-days, the Polewarczyk Race Team hauled their PASS SLM to Lee USA Speedway, a very fast 3/8-mile-oval, located near the Polewarczyk race shop. The setting was the Annual PASS Bastille 200-lap event. Joey said, “We were very fast right out of the hauler, it seems like I am a broken record when I keep saying this.” “We had the car to beat; plain and simple.” “We were quicker than Johnny (Clark) and Lonnie (Somerville)”

Joey started on the outside pole and immediately took the lead and led the first 102-laps of the 200-lap event. Polewarczyk would pit for adjustments, came out of the pits in fifth position, and continued his drive toward the front.

On lap 125, Joey had noticed the spun car of #12 John Dabrowski, in the infield, who was 5-laps down. Joey said, “I didn’t think much of the car in the infield and then all of the sudden he pulled out onto the track right in front of Ben (Rowe) and I.” “Ben had nowhere to go and he got into me and that sent me into the wall.” “It’s just a shame that we haven’t got rid of this bad luck streak yet, we will but my crew is giving me the cars to win and we need to take advantage of it”

The #97 Poles Automotive/NH Precision Ford Fusion would end up in the 15th position
