VIDEO: Joey Polewarczyk Comes Away With A 6th Place Finish In The PASS Race At Oxford Plains Speedway

Polewarczyk Jr finishes in sixth position in the PASS Race at Oxford Plains Speedway

For Immediate Release JPR-07252011-32

(Oxford, ME) – Pro All-Stars Series Driver #97 Joey Polewarczyk Jr had a full weekend of racing at Oxford Plains Speedway and to start things off, he competed in the Brackett Mechanical/RB Performance 150-Lap PASS event.

Joey started ninth in his heat race and worked his way up quickly to the lead, only to be passed with 2 laps to go by NASCAR Star Kyle Busch, however by coming in second in the first heat race, Joey was able to start fourth in the main event.

On the drop of the green flag, Polewarczyk quickly moved around the third place starter of #7 Donnie Whitten and settled in for a long green-flag run in third place, behind the #91of Patrick Laperle and the #51 of Kyle Busch.

On the initial long run at around lap 75, Joey lost a cylinder in his motor and was worried about the rest of the race. “I didn’t know what to expect, for when the caution came out as far as our restarts would go.”

Joey would add, “Once we got the car wound up, we were fine, but the restarts did prove to really hurt our chances to compete for the win.”

“We are happy to come out with a sixth place finish, the car is in one piece, we will get the motor checked out and continue to get some seat time in the PASS Series.”

You can check out the Joey Polewarczyk and the #97 Poles Automotive/NH Precision Ford Fusion as they take on Seekonk Speedway for the August 6 PASS 150-Lap event.
