(Hudson, NH) – The 2011 season started out on a high note for Joey Polewarczyk and crew as they left the fast New Smyrna Speedway in Florida after capturing the Inaugural Goodyear Speedweeks Cup. Since then the season has been one to forget and according to Joey, the buck stops with him.

“I am more focused right now, than I have ever been. The time to turnaround our season is now and I feel our second half will mirror what we did in 2010.”

Polewarczyk went on a tear in the second half of 2010 by winning 5 of the last 10 events, including the last 3 in a row.

“We went to Seekonk last year for a Late Model race with my old car and we were able to win that race going away. I think that was our turning point last year more than anything.”

Polewarczyk went on to say, “We just visited Beech Ridge Speedway last week and this was a race that we won last year, well I can tell you one thing; we had the best feeling car I have ever had in all my years on the ACT Tour. I know if we didn’t have the muffler issue, we would have been with Jeff (Taylor) and Wayne (Helliwell Jr) at the end of the race, without a doubt.”

The Polewarczyk race team currently sits 10th in the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) 2011 point standings, just 41 points out of 5th place.

Joey stated, “Our goal, like everyone is be at the top of the standings, we feel we are a Championship caliber team and we are not showing it. The time to start showing it is now and we will work tirelessly to achieve what we know we are capable of.”

“Brian (Hoar) has been at the top of the ACT standings for 2 full years now and we feel that we should be contending for that spot, we are that good. “

The Polewarczyk Race Team will be kicking off their second-half of the season this Saturday, August 6 at Seekonk Speedway in the Pro All-Stars Series (PASS) 150-Lap event. Joey is excited for this race and he sees an opportunity to come away with a victory. “I love Seekonk, it was the place of our first ACT win in 2007 and we won again last year. I like the way it drives and racing our PASS Super Late Model should be exciting.”

Joey would end by saying, “We need to capitalize on our efforts, and the time to get us back to the top is now. I think this the most focused, I have ever been. It’s time to get the Poles Automotive, NH Precision Ford Fusion back to Victory Lane.”
