Barre, VT – The Thursday, August 25 race program at Thunder Road International Speedbowl presented by Aubuchon Hardware/Benjamin Moore Paints has been postponed due to rain. The event has been rescheduled for Friday, August 26 with post time remaining at 6:30pm.

The event will be the final point counting race for the Late Models. The “King of the Road” will be crowned following a special 100-lap feature. Dave Pembroke currently sits atop the standings and is trailed by John Donahue, Nick Sweet and Phil Scott.

The Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen, Allen Lumber Street Stocks and Junkyard Warriors will run regular events. Following tomorrow night, each division will have two events remaining to determine their 2011 champions. Those events are the Bond Auto Labor Day Classic on Sunday, September 4 (qualifying for the local divisions will be on Saturday, September 3) and the 49th annual People’s United Bank Milk Bowl on Sunday, October 2 with Booth Bros./H.P. Hood qualifying on Saturday, October 1.

Tomorrow night (Friday, August 26) will have a post time of 6:30pm. Front gates will open at 5:00pm with general admission at $10 for adults, $3 for kids (ages 6 to 12) and $20 for a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids).
