LOUDON, N.H. (Sept. 23, 2011) – Brett Moffitt finally scored his first New Hampshire Motor Speedway win today during the rain shortened New Hampshire 125 event.

This was Moffitts third win of the season and seventh in his NASCAR K&N Pro Series East career. He now sits just 21 points unofficially behind Max Gresham in the championship standings.

The driver of the No. 00 Michael Walt rip Racing Toyota has finished as the race runner-up the last two trips to Loudon and has four top-five efforts in five career K&N Pro Series East events at NHMS.

“This is a really great win,” said Moffitt. “Before coming to the race today I kept thinking about how many times I’ve finished second here. Even though we didn’t run the whole race I feel like we would have been there at the end. The car we brought was phenomenal. We really took what we learned from the last race here and ended up where we needed to be.”

Sergio Pena, driver of the No. 4 Subway Toyota for Revolution Racing finished second. This was his best finish in four career starts at “The Magic Mile.”

“I’m pretty excited,” said Pena. “We didn’t have the fastest car in practice yesterday. All the guys worked really hard throughout the day and we ended up qualifying fifth, so that really helped. We knew the rain was coming so we got up there as quick as we can.”

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East drivers will take on Dover International Speedway next Friday for the last race of their 2011 season.
