LOUDON, N.H. (Sept. 19, 2011) – Wrigley Field in Chicago has it’s beloved “Bleacher Bums,” the Cleveland Browns have their passionate “Dawg Pound,” Duke University’s basketball team has its “Cameron Crazies” and now New Hampshire Motor Speedway has the “Moose Head Maniacs.”

Recognizing the passion of NASCAR fans here at “The Magic Mile,” speedway officials announced today that they have designated a special section of seating in turns three and four to create a wicked fun fan zone for the “Moose Heads.”

For this Sunday’s SYLVANIA 300 NASCAR Sprint Cup race, speedway officials have released 2,000 tickets, priced at $19 each for this seating section, located in the Laconia Grandstand. The package also includes a customized “Moose Heads” tee-shirt and the freedom to be creative in fun fan wear.

The “Moose Heads” section is not for the faint of heart, it is for the NASCAR FANatic. Fans are encouraged to face paint your favorite driver’s number, don some Moose antler headgear, wear their new “Moose Head” t-shirt, colorful wigs, outlandish sunglasses or any other fun wear to showcase their passion for NASCAR racing in New England. Fans with the most outlandish costumes will be featured on New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s giant video board throughout race day festivities.

Milo the Moose, New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s official mascot, will visit with his new “Moose Head” friends during the action-packed Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup race.

“It is playoff time, NASCAR-style and we want the fans to show support for their favorite driver and sport here at their favorite track,” said Jerry Gappens, executive vice president and general manager of the speedway. “Hopefully, the Moose Heads will create a seating section that will showcase their support in a creative and fun atmosphere. It’s certainly an economical way to attend a Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup race.”

Tickets in the “Moose Heads” seating section are limited. Fans are encouraged to call the speedway’s ticket hotline at 603-783-4931 to purchase tickets now. Tickets will be placed at will-call along with a t-shirt voucher. Other Sunday seating options, including non-alcohol and smoking sections, are available, starting at $39.
