(Vallée-Jonction, Quebec) – This weekend will be a busy one for ACT Late Model Driver #97 Joey Polewarczyk of Hudson, NH. The first order of business will be the very competitive “Showdown at Chaudiere” on Saturday, September, 10 and then on September 11, the previously rained out Cam-Am 200 will take place at Riverside Speedway in Ste-Croix, Quebec.

The Showdown is a 200-Lap event, held annually, which showcases the best 11 ACT Tour drivers from the United States and the best 11 drivers from the Serie ACT Castrol Canadian Tour.

In the 2010 version of the Showdown, Joey finished in 9th place. He looks to build upon that finish and take what they learned last year and come away with a solid top-5 finish.

“We will be racing a Late Model that we borrowed from NASCAR Busch Champion Mike Olsen for the Showdown, so we can keep our car fresh for the Can-Am 200. Mike has great equipment, so we feel we should do fine with his car.”

“We would be very happy to leave Chaudiere with a solid top-5 and keep up the momentum in Sunday’s Cam-Am Race.” Joey went on to say, “Coming home to the U.S. with a couple solid finishes and maybe a win would be huge for us.”

On Sunday, September 11, Polewarczyk will return to his familiar #97NH Poles Automotive, NH Precision Ford Fusion and will start from the pole position for the Can-Am 200, held at the racy 5/8-mile Riverside Speedway. “We had a great qualifying effort and we couldn’t be happier with our starting spot. This is a race that takes patience and endurance; it’s one of the longest races that we run all year on the ACT Tour.”

Last week’s Labor Day Classic at Thunder Road really gave us a shot of confidence, our second place finish couldn’t have come at a better time for us. We have a lot of big money races coming up and I think we may be just hitting our stride.”
