Barre, VT – Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT will wrap up its point battles and crown its final three 2011 champions during the People’s United Bank Milk Bowl on Sunday, October 2. Champions for the Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen, Allen Lumber Street Stock and the Junkyard Warrior divisions will be crowned following the season finale this weekend.

Bradford, VT’s Derrick O’Donnell holds a commanding lead over Bobby Therrien in the Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen division. O’Donnell began the season with back-to-back wins in the Merchants Bank 150 and the Memorial Day Classic and has remained atop the standings all season. Therrien is trailed closely by Eric Badore and two-time Tiger Champion Shawn Fleury, while Mike Ziter completes the top five.

Hardwick, VT’s Greg Adams, Jr. and Jefferson, NH’s Nick Pilotte will conclude their Allen Lumber Street Stock battle. The two have swapped the lead several times during the season with neither driver leading by more than 19 points. Adams picked up his third win of the season during Labor Day weekend, while Pilotte earned his second during a make-up event on the same weekend. Bunker Hodgdon, Martin Ingram and Alan Maynard fill the remainder of the top five.

Waterbury, VT’s Jason Woodard has had a dominant season with eight wins in seventeen starts in the Junkyard Warrior division. Woodard merely has to start the event to secure the title over Brock Parrott and Kevin Wheatley.

Milk Bowl weekend starts this Saturday, October 1 with Booth Bros./H.P. Hood Qualifying at 1:30pm. Then Sunday, October 2 will be the 49th Annual People’s United Bank at 1:00pm.
