The final race of the 2011 season for the Benjamin Motorsports race team was this past weekend at Oxford Plains Speedway. Once again the team brought a very fast car and in practice the team posted the 3rd fastest time and the car was driving very well.

After qualifing 13th out of the 41 cars that attempted to qualify, Travis thought the car was very good. At the start of the 150 lap feature the 17 car was heading to the front. On lap 45 the team had moved into the top 5 and by lap 70 Travis was leading the field. The Benjamin Motorsports team would lead til around lap 100 and then Scott Mulkern made the pass for the lead. On the next restart Travis would take the lead again and lead til lap 112 and then once again Mulkern would make his way past Travis.

On lap 118 the caution was out and then the rains came and the race was over. “Its really nice to end the season with 2 really good run. We finished 5th at White Mountains after starting 15th and to start 13th and lead a bunch of laps and finish 2nd is awesome. Now I wish the season wasnt over.” Travis said after the race.
