LOUDON, N.H. (March 29, 2012) – The New Hampshire Motor Speedway family is proud to announce that Anastasia Volsko has been promoted to director of events at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, effective immediately. In less than a year on the team, Volsko has shown a winning combination of creativity, energy and skill in planning the major events around the race season.
As director of events, Volsko will be responsible for virtually every activity the fans will see on an event weekend except for the races themselves. Since recently filling in as the interim director, Volsko has risen to the challenge of planning the events for the upcoming season, according to Jerry Gappens, executive vice president and general manager of the speedway.
“Ana set an impressive pace from day one as she executed various activities flawlessly, including scheduling our pre-race concert entertainment, hosting an outstanding employee retreat and conducting valuable research in expanding event opportunities,” says Gappens. “After conducting an extensive, three-month national search for the position, which attracted several impressive applicants, I strongly believe Ana is the best person to lead this department.”
Volsko started at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in June of 2011 as an event specialist. “I am honored that Jerry and the speedway family have the faith in me to take over as director of events,” says Volsko. “I will do all I can to ensure the racing experience in 2012 is outstanding and memorable for every fan who passes through our gates. I am part of an incredible team and I am fortunate to be able to say I can’t wait to get to work each day. Now let’s go racing!”
A Warren, Ohio native, Volsko is an alum from Bowling Green University where she majored in tourism administration and event planning. Her creativity led to the launch of her own enterprise, “Ready, Set, Organize!”, an event planning company in Columbus. After serving as events coordinator in a variety of companies in Ohio, Volsko and her husband moved to New Hampshire for a new, high speed adventure.
New Hampshire Motor Speedway hosts a variety of motorsports events, including two major NASCAR weekends each year. Other events include FANtasy Drive Open House, Vintage Racing Celebration; the oldest motorcycle event in the country, the Loudon Classic; and a variety of sports car, club racing, and numerous driving/rider schools.
Great seats, camping, hospitality, VIP packages, and pre-race pit passes are still available for the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 on July 15 or the SYLVANIA 300 on Sept. 23. Purchase them now by calling the speedway ticket hotline at (603) 783-4931 or by visiting www.nhms.com.
