Graham, NC 4/25/12- In just his third ever race behind the wheel of a full size racecar Tate Fogleman, son of PASS South Series driver Jay Fogleman, scored his first career PASSCCS super limited late model win at the Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, North Carolina Saturday night. Fogleman piloted his #4 Bull City Racecars Chevy Impala to the win after taking the green flag from the third position. Jody Measemer, also in a Bull City race car, made it back-to-back runner up finishes with his second place finish. Austin Leitner was the final driver to take home a trophy with his third place finish.

“This is pretty cool to win at my first big car race at my home track with all these friends and family here at Orange County Speedway,” stated Fogleman in victory lane. “I had a real good car that drove really well through the turns. I just want to thank my dad, Bull City Racecars, and everyone that helped me get here tonight.”

Kyle Beattie once again set fast time during series qualifying and was able to redraw the number one starting position out of the top five qualifiers. At the drop of the green Beattie wasted no time getting out front and taking control of the top spot. The first twenty-seven laps were all controlled by the #84 machine of Beattie before Jody Measemer decided to make his move for the number one position just past the event’s halfway point.

Measemer battled side by side with Beattie for close to ten laps before taking the top position. This was all that eventual winner Tate Fogleman and fellow competitor Austin Leitner needed to make it a four car race for the top spot. With Fogleman around the early leader Beattie it was time for the twelve year old to make his move for the lead position. With just eight laps to go Fogleman got around Bull City Racecar teammate Measemer for the lead.

Things looked to be in the bag for Fogleman until the #49 Jeff Batten, making his series debut, went for a spin with just two laps to go bringing out the yellow and setting up a green-white-checker sprint to the finish. The young Fogleman made his dad proud and did what he needed to do to hold on for his first win behind the wheel of a full size car.

“I didn’t have a good night at all behind the wheel of my super late model, but seeing this boy (Tate Fogleman) in victory lane makes me not even care what happen with that car right now. Plus to have a pair of Bull City Racecars go one two with Jody Measemer finishing second makes for a good night and says we are doing something right at the end of the day,” said the elder Jay Fogleman.

The next race for the PASS/CCS Super Limited late models is the Ace Summer Tour 50 at the Ace Speedway in Altamahaw , North Carolina on Friday night April 27th. For more information on this event as well all Carolina Completion Sports sanction events visit www.raceccs.com.
