Poland, ME (May 14, 2012)- On Saturday, May 19 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Poland Community School will host the first annual “Special Olympics Car Wash”- all in an effort to make 5 boy’s, and other RSU 16 children’s dreams, come true. And when we’re done washing your car in front of the school, we will give you a vinyl Autism Awareness Puzzle piece for your car.
For a donation towards your car being washed, participants will receive a car wash, a chance to sit in the #45 Late Model and an Autism Awareness vinyl puzzle piece. (All proceeds to benefit the RSU 16’s Special Olympics Teams).
Five of Poland Community School’s Life Skills students have a dream of winning gold medals at the Special Olympic State Meet in Orono, ME. J.T. Promotions wanted to help this class with their dream and will have the #45 Late Model with driver Travis Dunbar there to draw attention to the event.
The car wash, a community event launched by Poland Community School in support of the Life Skills students, will take place at the school on Route 26 in Poland, ME.
In addition to the car wash, Poland Community School will also be offering up baked goods on sale as part of the fundraising effort. The Autism Awareness vinyl puzzle pieces are only available the day of the car wash for those that come through the car wash or give a donation.
This car wash will make a huge difference for these students.
