The Benjamin Motorsports team headed into this past weekends Speedway 660 race with high hope of another good run since the team has always had a lot of good runs at the track. The team is working hard and is also on a pretty good roll since the team has 5 top 5 finishes in there last 6 races.

In practice the 17 car was running well but needed to be a little better if it was going to run for the win. So the team decided to make a few adjustments going into the qualifying race. In the qualifying race Travis started 5th and finished 3rd but had nothing for the 1st and 2nd place cars so a few more adjustments where made for the feature.

In the 200 lap feature Travis was running in the top 5 at the start and than quietly moved toward the front and by around lap 70 took the lead till the halfway break. On the restart after the halfway break Johnny Clark took over the lead and would lead the rest of the way and the 17 car would cross the line 2nd. “We had a great run, after the heat the team made some great calls and changed the setup on the car and it was a lot better. I think we had something for Johnny but we just hit the lapped traffic at the wrong times”. Travis said after the race.

A special thanks goes out to The Robins Inn and Coastal Blending and Packaging for there support during this past weekends race. Without there support our 2nd place run wouldn’t have been possible.
