Speedway 95Phil Richardson of Hermon picked up his first feature win of the season in the Dysart’s Late Models at Speedway 95 Saturday night after passing pole sitter Andy Saunders of Ellsworth on lap 5 of the 35 lap event. Deane Smart of Bradley passed Saunders on the 22nd lap when Saunders was held up momentarily while overlapping slower traffic to take the second spot with Saunders finishing in third. Winterport’s Ryan Deane finished in fourth with Hermon’s Dale Swoboda coming across the stripe in fifth.

In Maine State Lottery Sportsman action, Shane Tatro of Holden returned to the winner’s circle after missing two weeks while waiting for a new motor to be built. Tatro’s win wasn’t easy as he had to fight off a determined Steve Moulton of Holden who finished a close second. D.J. Moody of Prospect finished third, followed by Derek Mingo of Lamoine in fourth and fifth place finisher Mike Overlock of Franklin.

Shelby Kimball of Cornville won the 35 lap Billy Jordan Memorial feature in the Strictly Streets. The win wasn’t easy as she had to come from the rear of the field and overcome an early incident with Jim Carr of Clifton to post her second feature win of the season. Andrew McLaughlin of Harrington finished in second with Carr returning to the track from the infield to finish third. Fourth went to Kimball’s younger brother Matt Kimball, also of Cornville, and Ern Dore of Addison was fifth.

Zach Audet made the trip over from Skowhegan and won the Sport-Four feature after driving from the rear of the field to the front to take the lead on the 13trh lap. Donny Silva of Corinth took second with Milo’s Steve Heath finishing third. Ted Ryder of Carmel finished fourth followed by Hermon’s Gerry Phillips in fifth.

In the Bombers, Darrin Durrell of Newburgh picked up his first win of the season followed by last week’s winner Jeremy Scott of Carmel in second. Third went to Dillon Dodge-Hafford of Winterport with D.C. Alexander of Glenburn and Scott Bonney of Bangor following in that order.

The Amsoil NELCAR Legends Series made a stop at the speedway Saturday night, and the 25 lap feature win went to Matthew Bourgoine of Newport. Evan Beaulieu of Durham Maine came home in the runner up spot with Reid Lanpher of Manchester in third. Bob Weymouth of Topsham finished fourth with Matt Grant of Windham in fifth.
