Garett Hayman of Milford led all 25 laps of the Little Enduro Series race #3 on Varney Buick-GMC-Mazda’s Wacky Wednesday night at Speedway and, in the process, picked up the series points title with a perfect score of 300. Hayman won the evening’s first qualifier, which placed him on the pole for the main event. He led outside pole-sitter Jeremy Scott of Carmel, who won the second qualifier, for 23 laps until the red came out for a solo spin by Glenburn’s Emma Libby in turn 2. On the restart, Hayman again pulled away from Scott, but Newburgh’s Darren Durrell got in the gas hard and followed Hayman past Scott to finish second, with Scott finishing in third. Kyle Gallant, who battled with Durrell for most of the race finished in fourth with Donny Silva of Hudson finishing fifth in a borrowed car. Hayman also currently leads the Little Enduro season points with 2 race dates remaining in the season.

The yellow flew on lap 18 for Jeff Overlock Jr. of Hermon, whose engine expired after he had reached the second spot. On the restart, Jim Carr Jr. of Clifton moved up from third to challenge Haskell for the lead over the final two laps, but Haskell was able to hold him off to pick up his first win of the season. Carr finished second with Lynch picking up third. Fourth spot went to Roger Smith Jr. Of Bangor while Dana Harlow of Bucksport recovered from an early race spin to finish fifth.
