driver_jdBerwick, ME – After a long offseason in the northeast, Joey Doiron and #73 Wild Willy’s Burgers/JBJ Machine racing team are ready to get the northern season started this weekend at Oxford Plains Speedway. The Pro All Stars Series North season opening “Ripley and Fletcher Ford 150” is this Sunday, April 21st. After a few great runs to start the season in the PASS National series, including a win to open the season at Auburndale Speedway, Joey Doiron is hoping to get another win to start the year off right this weekend.

“We won the season opener at Beech Ridge last year and that gave us a boost on the rest of the season,” Doiron said of his strong start just a year ago, “looking to Oxford we know we can do the same and get us another strong start.”
The last time the series was at Oxford Plains Speedway was last October for the season finale, and after making several big gains on the car, Doiron ended the night with a top ten finish with a car that he thought could have contended for a podium finish.

“It’s as much track position as it is your luck on the restarts,” said Doiron of the racing at Oxford, “last fall our finishing position didn’t reflect how well the car was, hopefully we can establish ourselves at the front early this time and stay up there.”

The action kicks off at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 21st and includes racing from the PASS North Super Late Models, Sportsman and Modifieds, including a national qualifier race for the Amsoil Nelcar Legends Tour to kick things off. Tickets are only $20 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Be sure to come out for what will surely be a great day of racing and support Joey Doiron and the #73 Wild Willy’s Burgers/ JBJ Machine team.
