Riverside Speedway welcomes two new sponsors for the upcoming season. Bond Auto Parts and Marshall Insurance Agency are proud to join Riverside Speedway in bringing racing to the North Country in 2013.

Bond Auto Parts, supplier of auto parts all over northern New England, will be sponsoring the American-Canadian Tour race on June 2nd. As talks are still in the works, there will be more news in the upcoming days about a Hard Charger award. With over 40 stores in New Hampshire, Vermont, Northern Massachusetts, and Eastern New York, including local stores in Lancaster, Littleton, Gorham, and Colebrook, Bond Auto parts has been serving New Englanders since 1956.

Lancaster’s own Marshall Insurance Agency, located at 92 Main Street, has stepped up to sponsor the Daredevils division at Riverside Speedway. The Marshall Insurance Agency has been offering home, auto, and business insurance in the North Country since 1928.

The Marshall Insurance Agency completes the divisional sponsors, joining the North Country Ford Late Models, Sign Depot Limited Late Models, Town and Country Motor Inn Street Stocks, Ouellette Trucking Angels, and the DK-N-Sons Pure Stocks. The 2013 season at Riverside Speedway begins with the Car Show at the race track on May 19th, and the first green flag drops on May 25th.

We heard from this from the now retired Dave Dion from Hudson, NH who ran NASCAR Busch Grand Nationals, ACT Tour, Pro Stocks and other divisions. ” I just wanted to pass on that my long time best friend, truck driver and spotter Billy Russell passed away of cancer ( agent orange from his tour in Viet Nam) on Mar. 29. A word to the racing world would be greatly appreciated my me and my team.” Dave now resides in Florida.

One of the Northeast’s top dirt driver, Adam Pierson will be spreading his wings in 2013, and expanding his schedule to include Canaan Dirt Speedway in Canaan, New Hampshire, and Thunder Road in Barre, Vermont.

The multi-time champion at Bear Ridge Speedway has purchased a new car for 2013, and is planning on campaigning his old car at Canaan. “We are very excited to add Adam to our expanding list of drivers here at Canaan, stated General Manager, Dick Therrien. He brings top notch equipment everywhere he goes, and we are looking forward to having him race with us this season.” Pierson is also scheduled to be behind the wheel of a Tiger Sportsman car on Thursday night at the Nations Site of Excitement, Thunder Road in Barre, Vermont.

Randy Howe is the defending Modified champion, and Pierson will certainly give the hard charging competitor a run for his money. With a full field of twenty-four Mods expected weekly, it will be no easy task coming from the rear each week. It is going to be a season to remember, as everyone is gunning to become the 2013 champion.
