BRADFORD, VT – Multi-time and defending DIRTcar Sportsman Modified Champion Adam Pierson put on a clinic Night at Bear Ridge Speedway on Saturday, winning the 50-lap DIRTcar Sportsman Modified double points feature on KDD Napa night. Pierson, of Fairlee, VT, started tenth on the grid and took the lead on lap 11, rolling to an easy win. Kevin Chaffee finished second with Bryan King third.

70 year old Hall of Famer Ray Miller led the entire distance to top the USAC Dirt Midget Association feature. Miller received stiff challenges from Scott Viets, who crossed the line second, with Kevin Chaffee at the controls of an all new Skip Matzak entry claimed third.

Jason Colbeth of Newbery, VT made the move of the night on lap 17 rocketing to the lead from third in the Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupe feature. From there Colbeth pulled away and went on to record the win in the 35 lap event. Tom Placey claimed second with Kane Pike third from his eighteenth starting spot.

Jason Giguere showed that he is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the Laquerre’s Sports Limited Late Model feature as he took the top spot early and went on to the win. Rookie Brandon Gray was second with Matt Ellsworth completing the top three.

Weglarz Property Service Fast Four action saw Tim Martin take the lead from Kevin Harran near the halfway point and go on to the win. Harran finished second with Steve Bell claiming third after starting scratch as he missed his heat with transmission problems.

KDD NAPA Ridge Runner Hornet action found Eric Post take the win after claiming the top spot just after the halfway point.

For the first time in the tracks’ 46 year history a wedding occurred during intermission in Victory Lane, as Fast Four Rookie Don Reynolds married the 2012 Hornet Queens Champion Dawn King. Reynolds also proposed to King in victory lane last season after winning a Ridge Runner Hornets Feature.
