Project1Berwick, ME – It’s been three weeks since the PASS North Series was last on the track, and Joey Doiron with the 73 Wild Willy’s Burgers team have been anxious to get back on the track after one of the strongest starts in the Series history. After his improbable second place effort last time out at Chaudiere Autodrome, the team holds a 26 point lead over second place and defending PASS North champion, Travis Benjamin. This weekend the team will head north of the border once again to Speedway 660, a track Doiron has been looking forward to returning too.

“We had a great car there last year at 660,” said Doiron of the upcoming event, “We just had a few mechanical failures that set us back, so I’m looking forward to getting back up there and having another solid run.”

Doiron is currently riding a streak of three consecutive second place finishes since the PASS North season opener. Couple that stat with his win to start the season at Auburndale Speedway in January, and the team is on the strongest start in PASS North Series history.

“It’s great for all of us, this crew has been together for a little while now and everything is clicking right now,” Doiron explained of the positive momentum, “We just have to keep up the hard work throughout the summer stretch now to be sure we’re in contention at seasons end.”

The 150 lap event will take place on Saturday, June 8th. Heat races will roll off at 7PM with feature racing followed after. Ticket prices for adults (16 and over) are $30; youth (8-15) are $15.00 and; children 7 (and under) are admitted free. Speedway 660’s Family Pass for the PASS 150 is $85.00. In case of inclement weather, the PASS 150 will be held on Sunday at 2PM.
