dashLOUDON, N.H. (July 10, 2013) – New Hampshire Motor Speedway officials announced today that NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers Austin Dillon and Sam Hornish Jr. will sit down with Mark and 2K of WOKQ’s “Morning Waking Crew” during the annual free WOKQ FanFest on Thursday, July 11 at 7:45 p.m.

Dillon leads the NASCAR Nationwide Series with six poles and sits fifth in the standings. Hornish Jr. has a win, a series-high 12 top-10s and is positioned second in points. Not only will the two be in competition for the trophy in Saturday’s CNBC Prime’s “The Profit” 200, but they make up half of the eligible drivers for the NASCAR Nationwide Series “Dash 4 Cash,” a bonus program that awards four qualified pilots $100,000 to the highest finisher among those four drivers at the Magic Mile.

“I love New Hampshire. Haven’t been to victory lane yet, but New Hampshire is always a place I look forward to coming to,” said Dillon, who picked up the $100,000 bonus at NHMS last July. “We got the ‘Dash 4 Cash’ there last year, so I think it’s a good time to get to victory lane.”

Grandstand gates will open at 1 p.m. FanFest kicks off on Thursday with the annual NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Hauler Parade at 4 p.m. with GRC Lites & Supercar Heats, a GRC autograph session from 4:15 p.m. to 5 p.m., last-chance races and two feature events will highlight the GRC action. At 5:30 p.m. the SYLVANIA SilverStar zXe gets underway as Travis Pastrana looks to defend his championship from last July.

Following the door-to-door action on-track, Miss Sprint Cup will be in the Broadway Midway to do an interview with the “Morning Waking Crew” at 7:30 p.m. just prior to the Dillon/Hornish Q&A at 7:45. Miss zMax will follow with a Q&A at 8 p.m. A trivia contest, face painter, balloon artist and caricature artist are also planned.

Country artist Tim Dugger will put on a free concert slated for 9 p.m. Past acts to have performed at FanFest include the country music duos Steel Magnolia and Trailer Choir as well as country names like Brett Eldredge, Chuck Wicks and Jamie Lee Thurston.

FanFest provides fans with a jumpstart to an exciting weekend of rally cross and stock car racing, starting with the white-knuckle intensifying SYLVANIA SilverStar zXe Global RallyCross on Thursday night. FansFirst Pole Day takes place on Friday before the fan favorite Whelen Modified Tour Town Fair Tire 100 and Nationwide Series CNBC Prime’s “The Profit” 200 on Saturday.
