BOBBY, WHAT HAPPENED?
Driver error. I had a really good car tonight, one of the best cars I’ve had all year. Just not my night. I got stuck behind some slow cars and got dragged all the way to the back. I started coming back up through and the thing was on. Like I said, it was the best-feeling car I’ve had.

I got to the (No. 2) car and just got impatient and wrecked him. It was 100 percent my fault. He’s a friend of mine, and I hate to wreck anybody – never mind one of my good friends. Just 100 percent my fault.

HOW BAD WAS THE DAMAGE TO THE CAR?
Bad enough that we couldn’t continue. Bent the lower and ripped the brake line out. I had no brakes.

It just sucks. You get all hyped up all week because you’re third in points and making a climb back up with an amazing run with four straight Top-3s – I think it would have been five tonight – but apparently, I didn’t want to see the end of the race tonight. I don’t know what I was doing.
